Family weekend

(Woah this post has been pending halfway in draft list since ages omg!)

The family threw some outing at the island since its weekend. Depart as early as 9 plus in the morning to have dimsum at Bali Hai for breakfast ( Ikr, 9am is not as early as it seems, woops )

"If it swims, we have it" - thats what their tagline is. Bali Hai is famous for its ultimate fresh seafood choices available from crabs, lobsters and many more as they said, you name it, they have it? Anyway, thats totally irrelevant with what we're going to have - Dim sum.
Anyway, Bali Hai might serve you fresh juicy seafood but speaking on dimsum, I dont think it hit my expectations though. Probably because it was late thus with the explanation of lack of varieties. :/

After breakfast was just some jalan-jalan time at Gurney Paragon till its time to fill up our tummy again. Life is full of eat, eat and eat huh? Oh, not when you got back to your Uni. Hurm.

Yep, late lunch at Morganfield's , Home of sticky bones! There's another newly opened branch at Queensbay too!

Ordered sharing platters instead, Rib Sampl3r consisting of 3 types of their signature sticky bones flavours, garden salad, corns, sausages (which I dont know what type of sausages were that, but it was really delicious among all) , corn bread which then they substitute it with garlic bread instead and all-time favourite, french fries ! :)

If you guys did noticed, their ribs are seriously huge.. enormous in size therefore this one platter itself is already too much for the 4 of us, excluding the baby girl. lol. At the end of the day, we might just go 'oinkk oinkk' turned into a pig already and has this thought where we should stop eating meats the next few days. (We had meat-ful / fishball-full of steamboat the day before this)

I know I post lousy quality pictures, harharhar.. but cant blame me right. Excuse my poor skill, poor gadget and also I feel shy to snap pictures of surrounding in public, therefore snap in express mode and explained my off-angle. Please tell me you do feel the same too lollll.

Le bro, sis-in law, home bb sitter.

The platter. Not bad, not bad! Happy pigging in those ribs, slurrrps.

Ok, am ending this post with a picture of mummy and I !

Just kidding, am ending this post with my solo picture of course lol. kthxbye.

M

do you want to know what other's view on you?
have yu randomly thought on what those people around you thinking?

yes, i would love to know what YOU think of me. im open to the good and bad ones.. yes i will accept it with no harsh feelings, probably i'll defend a lil but no, i wont blacklist you. instead, i appreciate those who are willing to confront  me sincerely.
i accept an ugly truth more than listening to your sweet lies, just so you know.

i probably take much things for granted, for sometimes on certain things which i think its ohh okay it shouldnt be a problem, and i'll presume that it shouldnt be a problem for others too. oh well, what i presumed is something which is so wrong.

i would like to apologize to myself and you, whoever it is whom i had in accidental provoked you cause i mean no harm at all. it would also be very appreciative that if you could nudge me on what you had disagreeing on me by far. thank you.

Gurney Paragon - Goku Raku Ramen / La Mei Zi Steamboat

Gurney Paragon ; I bet this must be one of the hot topic / hang out place to go among Penangites at least in this few years' time. This is a newly opened mall along Gurney Drive which is also a stone's throw away from Gurney Plaza. This place is seem to be a shopping and entertainment spot as well as having offices and luxury residentials.

I wasn't aware of this newly opened place at all before I came back here, my hometown till Keii notified me and ajak me for a visit there. lol.

Gurney Paragon isnt any big shopping mall, the places are quite limited however it is fully compacted with luxury shops where some brands wont be found in Penang before this. Everyone was crazy over this because most Penangites do not need to go KL to satisfy their shopping desires anymore! Yeay yeay *a plus point!* However, one disadvantage is its parking lot. Since the area is limited, thus you can guess them right with their parking spaces huh?

Ok.. so whats for lunch?

I've heard and seen this Goku Raku Ramen in KL but never had a chance to dine in there for their ramens therefore here comes the opportunity to dine in here! Mind us, we were all not really a ramen expert therefore we just simply pick one of the option from their menu based on the picture preference. Ops. I totally forgotten what I ordered, fml but what I remember is there are 3 type of base soups for you to choose.

I feel afterall was just oh-kay, worth a try if you haven't ;) They were having this lunch set either with beverage or ice cream, obviously we chose the one with beverage because they have this month promotion where ice creams are free for all customers! We were quite excited about it, to be exact excited of FREE stuff, however kind of disappointed for the choices they provide therefore didn't try any.

That's for our lunch break and guess what's for dinner? Steamboat!! We were crazy enough to drive from Gurney area to Queens area just for dinner at La Mei Zi steamboat.

They provide quite a number of choices for soups and we were all pretty satisfied overall, despite the rotten garlic they have -_____-

After 2 hours of dinner, back to mainland and headed to AutoCity for Chatime session. Thats kind of a wrap for the day.

M

Brownie Monday making

So everything was back to normal, no more on here and there, Im back for good. lol. I've got no idea how baking a cake idea came from that we decided to give it a try on baking. It was quite an issue on what to bake since I really crave for cakes badly, yes I mean badly. Somehow, the decision on what to bake isn't mere depend on my stomach's demand! So lets skip everything that we decided on trying  to make brownie instead.

The ingredients prepared are such as cream, unsalted butter, icing and granulated sugar, unsweetened chocolates, chocolate chips, milk, eggs... and not forgetting all purpose flour.
It was quite kelam kabut la during the process of making, haha.. not mentioning on the last-minute-notice on the expired date of some powder, vanilla essence.. psstt, dont worry we did not use the expired date ingredients. :P

There you go.. mix mix mix everything. JUST MIX. woops.

Waiting to be baked. I somehow inserted too much of chips in it.. this chocolate brownie is seriously indeed very chocolate-ty instead. It gave mum an idea that she's chewing on a chocolate bar instead. wtf. T_T

So... what came out after 25 minutes of baking huh?
Frankly speaking, after the last time of baking a 'swiss roll' (see below picture) , I got kind of phobia already. wtf. I have no idea what happened the other day, I got quite a number of feedback from facebook after I uploaded that picture, people are commenting that it looked like a brain tumor, hills and mountains or something. wtf.

So... this came out. Heyyy! Dont judge it first ok!

It might look ugly la.. But tasted not bad leh. :( And it needs some 'decorations' right to be served. lol.
So there you go, applying approximate 1cm thick of frosting, also made by us. Tasted not bad too!

And finally.. The baby looks smooth and silky and maybe a little presentable now. Haha, remember looks are deceiving? =P

It's best to serve cool where the frosting above it are chilled enough however not too cold where the brownies get kinda stiff and hard when so.

Alright, till then!

M
